Nominations for 3 Board Member Positions for United Way of Eastern Utah - are being accepted for the 2015-2018 term. Nominations will be accepted by letter, phone or email and must be received no later than May 14, 2015 to be considered a valid nomination. Nominations will be voted on by the current United Way of Eastern Utah board of directors at the regularly scheduled board meeting on May 15, 2015. Term of office: Board of Directors shall hold office for a term of three (3) years with a maximum of three (3) consecutive terms in office. Nominees must be contacted to confirm their acceptance and willingness to serve before submitted for consideration. The 2015 United Way of Eastern Utah Board of Directors will be installed into office at the United Way of Eastern Utah Board of Directors meeting on June 19, 2015. Food Handlers Classes - held at the Southeast Utah Health Department. Classes will be held on May 21 at 9 a.m. in Price and at 4 p.m. in Castle Dale, June 16 at 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. in Price, and on June 18 at 4 p.m. in Castle Dale. SEUHD is located at 28 S. 100 E. in Price, and at 25 W. Main St. in Castle Dale.

Free Horse Packing Workshop - Conducted by the San Rafael Backcountry Horsemen. Come learn how to pack for work or play using various techniques or to demonstrate how you pack. If you are an experienced packer please come share your knowledge. If you have never packed and are just interested in learning about horse camping please come as well. There will de demonstrations using barrels on saddle stands with plenty of practice time for everyone who would like to give it a try. At noon Dr Jensen from Emery & Carbon Animal Health will make a presentation on emergency horse care in the backcountry. Feel free to come and leave anytime between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.. USUE 2nd Annual What Women Want Expo - Friday, March 27 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. and Saturday, March 27 from 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. at the Tuscan Event Center. Photography Classes - Photo group hosted by Carbon Recreation is holding photography classes on the second Thursday of each month. The classes are held in the Carbon Recreation Building class room at 6:00 p.m. All participants are welcome from beginner to advanced photographers. We have something for everyone.
