College of Eastern Utah automotive students Spanky Harris, Holly Scott and Quinn Holliday stand nearby as Daniel Royer presents Richard Jewkes of Carbon County Active Re-Entry with the title to a refurbished van as Kathy Murray watches. The students in the automotive department refurbished the vehicle for a needy family in the local area. The automotive department rebuilt the engine, replaced hoses and made other repairs to the vehicle that was donated to the department by Phil Brown, an instructor at the college. Stan Martineau, the automotive instructor, pointed out that most of the labor on the van was done on the students' own time and not on class time.
