A Monday morning mishap in Wellington captures the attention of bystanders and emergency personnel. An unidentified 16-year-old male was traveling north on Center Street when the youth reportedly became distracted and hit a parked car, indicated Wellington Police Sgt. Kelly Maines. Speed was not a contributing factor in the accident. Fortunately, the driver was wearing a seatbelt and sustained only minor injuries in connection with the incident, pointed out the Wellington police sergeant. The mishap occurred one block from the teen's home.
