Playing in horrible weather at Delta, the Carbon Dino golf team's play reflected their conditions.

The team took a third place finish, well below the home team, Delta. Ending up 26 shots behind the Rabbits, Carbon clung on to its second place ranking in the region eight standings by only two shots.

Dino Jason Childs led the team with a 79. He was followed by teammates Corbin Black with an 86, Brett Johnson with a 92 and Ween Ngamketkamol with a 93.

The team will play in Nephi today (Thursday). The contest will be a region match, but it will be a neutral course so there will be no home course advantage for anyone.

Finishing out regular season play, the team will travel to North Sanpete to play on the Palisade Course the following Thursday.

The team has made a good showing most of the season this year and Coach Tony Pinedo is optimistic about how they will finish out the season and he hopes team members will go on to post season play.
