Winter snow hits leaves just as they show fall colors

The leaves on this plant were just turning their fall colors when white stuff showed up on Friday and Saturday. While hail, rain and little doses of snow hit the valleys, the high country in many places got slapped with a white coat of winter which will inevitably speed the color change process. In many places trees were dropping branches and some limbs snapped off above 10,000 feet.
