School buses hit Carbon County roads as new academic year commences

A student exits the school bus on a rural road in Carbon County. With the school year back in session, Carbon County residents have seen not only the usual Carbon School District bus, but also two school buses from Pinnacle Canyon Academy. Drivers should be alert as they approach school buses. Flashing red lights on a school bus require that drivers stop in both directions. It is illegal to pass a school bus with red lights flashing. Drivers should also watch for children walking to and from school and obey school zone speed limits.
