Carbon County HAZMAT team members look over the site of an old fuel storage tank discovered by crews excavating Carbonville Road for reconstruction. The tank was in front of what used to be a store near 700 North and was reportedly installed in the 1920s. But no one knew it was still there until Tuesday morning. Paul Bedont, the Price Fire chief said on Wednesday morning that the contractor was making arrangements to have the tank drained and removed. It is reported that there may be more than one tank installed in the area, so the contractor is exploring the area to see if that is true.
