Last year members of the Kiwanis Club invited the center staff to present into about the cetner at their monthly board meeting. The purpose of the presentation was to educate the Kiwanis Club about the center and provide them with a wish list of the items that are needed for the center. The Kiwanis Club then purchased and set up new playground equipment for the children. The playground equipment has been in for almost a year and the children spend the majority of their time swinging, sliding, and climbing. It has been a great addition to the center.

This past winter the Ladies of the Ascension St. Matthew's Church invited the center to their monthly board meeting. The purpose of the meeting was to educate and provide them with a wish list of items needed for the center. During the months following, the ladies of the church worked very hard to collect clothes and toiletry items for the children. They also made several quilts to give to the children who come to the center. Items were collected from other church members, whom also participated in this gift.
