Drivers reminded of summer traffic hazards

The Utah Highway Patrol reminds drivers that traffic patterns increase during the summer months.

Law enforcement encourages motorists to drive defensively and courteously, allowing plenty of time to arrive at destinations safely.

There were three DUI accidents over the recent Pioneer Day weekend and one fatality due to drowsy driving. Impaired or drowsy driving puts drivers, loved ones and the public at risk.

Motorists should wear seatbelts and have someone else drive if they are impaired or drowsy.
