Volleyball tryouts
It's time for Carbon High volleyball tryouts once again.
Coach Bruce Bean announced on Tuesday that he is inviting all girls in grades 9-12 to attend the volleyball try-outs.
They will take place Monday, August 7 at 8:00 a.m. at the Carbon High Gym.
Carbon High has a long tradition of superior volleyball teams and took state in the 3A classification two years ago. Bean is looking forward to the season, especially since this will be his only head coaching position this year. Last spring he resigned as the head girls basketball coach to concentrate on an advanced education degree and his family.
Many players from the Carbon program have gone on to colleges with athletic scholarships. All girls who are interested are urged to attend.
