WBBA World Series Set Back by Rain
|There was a lot of action in the Wellington vs. Carbon White game during the playoffs a couple of weeks ago. Carbon White won and went on to the tournament .|
The rain in recent days in Utah has wrought destruction and tragedy on many in Utah, and on Tuesday it also affected the Western Boys Baseball World Series that is being held in Logan this week.
The opening day was washed out when a storm plowed through the Cache Valley, and even though the destruction in that northern Utah climate was not as great as it was in Salt Lake and Utah counties it did mess up the baseball schedule.
After the rain took the fun away, tournament officials decided to start from the ground up by rescheduling Tuesdays play for Wednesday and then having double headers conclude the pool play on Thursday.
Local entry Carbon White played Syracuse on Wednesday morning while the other Carbon team, Blue, faced Vernal Red in the afternoon.
Scores and results were not available at press time on Wednesday.
