Wellington police survey damage with witnesses and parties involved in a motor vehicle accident on Tuesday afternoon. Law enforcement at the scene said the accident occurred when the driver of a backhoe backed out of a driveway on 500 East, south of U.S. Highway 6. An approaching vehicle reportedly collided with the bucket of the backhoe, severely damaging the passenger side of the vehicle. With the driver being the only occupant of the vehicle at the time, no one was injured in the collision.
