Wellington firefighters spray water on smouldering ashes near Farnum Road last week in an effort to control area affected by a burn. Reports of the fire came immediately after a thunderstorm moved through the area. Fire officials thought the blaze was caused by lightening, but after crews arrived on the scene and investigated the incident, it appeared the fire might have been left over from a ditch burn that took place in the area recently. Other than some brush, little damage was done by the blaze.
