The first day of play took place on Saturday as the local Babe Ruth league began play. Teams from Emery and Carbon Counties met on a field in the Price Baseball Complex north of town and spent the day battling each other for the first weeks standings. The first game began with Carbon County Commissioner Bill Krompel throwing out the first ball. Play will now continue for the next couple of months for the 12 to 15 years olds and their coaches.
