Stacey Ladd

SALEM, Ore. - Stacey Elizabeth (Powell) Ladd went to be with her Lord April 16, 2006.

She was born in Moab to a very loving family. She was the second of four daughters.

Stacey loved to spend time with her children and loved them with all her heart. Everyone whoever knew Stacey loved her. They were drawn to her magnetic personality. Stacey had one of the kindest hearts and she always had a hug for everyone.

She had compassion for the downtrodden and hated the injustice in the world. Stacey may never have understood how much she affected everyone she came in contact with and what an amazing woman she was.

She enjoyed RV camping and boating and one of her favorite places to go was the ocean where she loved to collect seashells. She loved the sun and the rain and she would always have something to see in the clouds. She loved all animals especially dolphins and her Snoopy Dog. She loved to rock hunt and she would often make Michael stop in the middle of the road to pick up a rock which caught her eye.

Stacey moved to Salem, Ore., in 1996 and was employed by Capitol Toyota as a Customer Relations Manager for the past 10 years.

Her husband, Michael Corrin Ladd , and her four children, Jana Elizabeth Tilton, age 23, Alex James Tilton, age 20, Cameron Todd Covert, age 14, and Kayela Lindsey Covert, age 13, whom she loved so dearly survive Stacey. Her mother, Kaye (Gadd) Powell preceded Stacey in death in 1992. Her father, Robert Powell, who lives in Florida and twin sisters, Patricia Draper and Polli Schmutz, who both reside in St. George, and older sister, Denise Eaquinta, who reside in Las Vegas, Nev., also survive Stacey. Jana's most precious dog, Kiya (Snoopy Dog) will also miss her.

A memorial for family and friends will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 22, at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service, 605 Commercial St. SE in Salem, Ore.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Williamette Humane Society or the Union Gospel Mission.

Helen Ferderber

HELPER/SANDY - Helen Y. "Nana" Ferderber, 85, passed away April 18, 2006 in Salt Lake City.

She was born in Helper, the daughter of Emilio and Tommasina Ambrosio Fabrizio. She married George on June 17, 1944.

Helen was a loving wife, mother and Nana. She loved cooking, feeding family and friends, and traveling with her sparring partner, George.

She enjoyed reading and crocheting. She gave willingly of her heart and herself. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends. Love you, "Scotchie".

She is survived by sons, Steve (Sandy) Ferderber, Sandy; Greg (Nancy) Ferderber, Helper; George (Rusty) Ferderber, Sandy; grandchildren, Tim, Tony, Renee, Frank, Mike and Melissa; great-grandchildren, Kylee, Andee, Vincent and Hunter; sisters, Lena Sneddon and Josephine Glorioso. Preceded in death by husband, George.

Funeral Mass will be Friday, April 21, 10:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 9757 S. 1700 East in Sandy. Friends and family may call at a Rosary service Thursday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at Mountain View Memorial, 3115 East Bengal Blvd. (7800 South). Interment will follow the services, Friday at Mountain View.

Joseph Gross

HELPER - Joseph (Joe) Darrell Gross passed away in his sleep on Sunday, April 9, 2006.

He was born Aug. 20, 1948 in New Jersey and later made his home in Helper. Joe was the only child of Darrell and Ann Gross who preceded him in death,

During Joe's life he served in the U.S. Navy and also had many hobbies. He loved to work on cars and be with his many friends. Joe has now found his place in heaven and will be loved and missed.

He is survived by children, Joseph Gross of Wendover, Nev.; and Brittany Phillips Gross of Price. Also survived by daughter-in-law, Roxanne and three grandchildren, Ashley and Jennifer Gross and Dawson Phillips.

Graveside services, Monday, April 24, 10 a.m., Helper Cemetery.
