Traffic along Carbonville Road comes to a stop as a school bus pauses to let students off. Unfortunately, motorists may not adhere to the flashing lights on a bus and pass the vehicles as drivers are loading or unloading students. State law specifies that buses with flashing lights are like a red light. Drivers failing to comply with a school bus' flashing lights face the risk of being cited and fined for the violation.
