He was born April 4, 1926 to Jose and Regina Jacquez in Gallina, N.M.

He has four children and three stepchildren, Johnny Jacquez, Joe Jacquez, Lillie Duran, Irene Cruz, Eddie Flores, Helen Gallegos and Viola Valdez. He has numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is married to Rose Flores Jacquez.
