It's always good to come home.
And in the case of the College of Eastern Utah's womens team they can add to that "home sweet home" as well.
The Lady Eagles team were able to enjoy both their own beds and a couple of huge blow-outs this past weekend as they hosted Colorado Northwestern Community College.
On Friday night the women from CEU took out the Lady Spartans 111-56 and then on Saturday night they did almost as much damage when they crushed the opposition 96-59.
Krislyn Wallace got things rolling with a three pointer to put the Eagles on top in the first minutes of play in the first game on Friday night. She also led the team in scoring with 17 for the night.
Every player on the CEU squad scored in what turned out to be a new school record for points by a CEU women's team.
The Spartans committed 33 turn-overs to CEU's 11. The Eagles also took advantage of their offensive rebounds to get several second chance points. The CEU women had 31 rebounds on their end of the court.
CEU took advantage of their depth on the bench to smother Colorado every chance they got.
On Saturday night, it was more of the same as CEU again dominated the glass early and often. The Lady Eagles were up 56-25 by the half.
Wallace added 22 points to her season stats with three long balls as part of that total. Kaylynn Fager with 13 and Halee Rasmussen with 10 came off the bench to score in double figures as well.
Rasmussen added a pair of long balls to the cause. She had three treys on Friday night as well.
Turnovers again plagued the Spartans as they committed 35 on Saturday night.
The CEU women have now improved their record to 13-9 overall. They are at 4 -6 in conference play.
The team resumes play at home on Friday and Saturday night as they host Dixie State College.
Game time is at 5:30 p.m. both nights in the BDAC.
