Ice fishers make pilgrimage to Scofield State Park

An ice fisher makes bores a hole through thick ice at Scofield Reservoir with a power auger. Boasting more than 20 inches of ice, Scofield is one of the premier locations in the state for ice fishing. While waiting for other bodies of water to build up enough ice to fish safely, many have taken advantage of the layer of ice that has been building at Scofield Reservoir for more than a month.
