Vena Tryon shows off the plaque of recognition she received when she retired after working 20 years for Carbon County and the local travel bureau.

Friends and co-workers honored Tryon at a retirement breakfast last week.

At the breakfast, Carbon County Travel Bureau chairman Nick Tatton presented Tryon with a plaque honoring her years of service to the local community.

Tryon started working for the Carbon County Travel Bureau full-time in 1986.

Since 1995, Tryon has divided her time between the travel bureau and working for the Carbon County senior citizens center.
