Snow blankets valley, but late arrival dashes hopes for traditional white Christmas

The sunrise Tuesday morning reveals a fresh blanket of snow in the Castle Valley area. While no storms arrived on Christmas, snow fell on the day many residents took off for the holiday. The forecast indicates small winter storms may be in the works for later in the week.
