County road department makes preparations to widen road near golf course

Colder weather allows county workers to install the understructure for a road expansion. The improvement will widen Rim Rock Drive as it crosses a county canal adjacent to the back nine of the golf course. Work crews explained that the metal structure will be covered with backfill and then paved. A tight turn just beyond the crossing has limited access by larger vehicles and caused visibility issues.
