Statewide closed fire season declared

The state forester has declared a closed burn season for all of Utah, extending through Oct. 31. A closed season requires residents to secure permits prior to open burning. Permits are available from wardens, local fire chiefs and county sheriffs as well as forestry and state lands offices.
