The CEU Golden Eagles stayed undefeated in conference play as they defeated Snow College 96-72 on Thursday night at the BDAC. However, the CEU men saw their first conference loss on Saturday, losing 77-83 to SLCC.
While Snow had three players do most of their scoring, CEU had a more balanced attack. Tyler Billings went 10 for 10 at the free-throw line and hit two three-pointers to share top scoring honors with Tate Sorenson.
Each scored 18 points for CEU. Kenyour Williams with 14, Tyler Kepkay with 13, Michael McCrary with 11, and Ryan Sanchez with 15, also scored in double figures for the Golden Eagles.
The second half of play saw CEU turn on the heat. Scoring for the first half was relatively close. Every player saw at least a few minutes of play, as the Eagles rotated in players to keep them fresh and push the tempo of play.
CEU travelled to Salt Lake on Dec. 10 playing SLCC in a conference match-up.
