Freshman Megan Garvin and senior Jamie King look for the rebound at a game against Spanish Fork last week.

Playing their second game in two days, the Lady Dinos could not sustain their winning ways. They went down to defeat at the hands of the Spanish Fork Dons 35-41.

The teams traded points in the first half of play. At the end of the half it looked like the Dinos would pull away when they had three quick turnovers that resulted in Spanish Fork getting right back into the game.

Carbon came out in the third quarter to take a four point lead. But the fourth quarter was their undoing with Spanish Fork outscoring the Lady Dinos by 10 in a 17 point scoring flurry.

Jamie King scored almost half of Carbons total point, hitting 17. Mesha Rasmussen added eight. Carbon falls to 2-3 in non-region play.

Next up for the Lady Dinos is an away game at Pineview on Thursday.
