Grand gets by Carbon

This has been one of the best seasons the Carbon girls soccer team has had, but that doesn't mean they are beating everybody.

On Tuesday, the team traveled to Moab and met up with Grand County High School in a Region 8 match. The Lady Red Devils came out on top, 3-1, but the Carbon girls gave quite a battle in the process.

Carbon's single goal came in the second half of the game when Tabby Cummins popped it in for a score.

Carbon, now 3-4, stands in the middle of the pack in the Region 8 standings. Juan Diego leads the region with an 8-0 record.

With two more region games to go the team faces North Sanpete this afternoon (Thursday) at home.

Their final regular game of the season will be against Juan Diego at home on Oct. 4.
