Leaves on the trees near the Price Canyon Recreation Area are beginning to show the changing of the seasons. According to the United States Naval Observatory's astronomical applications department, fall 2005 will officially begin Sept. 22 at 4:23 p.m. mountain daylight time. As temperatures begin to drop, leaves start to change colors near the ridges in the mountains surrounding Castle Valley. Bright autumn hues can already be seen in Price and Indian canyons as well as near Scofield Reservoir.
