Jason Llewelyn of the Carbon County hazardous materials squad examines dynamite found near the C on Wood Hill on Wednesday morning. Price city workers discovered the sticks of explosive near an area where they were dumping dirt. Emergency crews responded and removed the material, some of which someone had apparently attempted to detonate. The dynamite was of the type frequently used by crews in earth work. Local residents having any information about the subject or subjects who may have been responsible for placing the explosives at the scene or attempting to detonate the dynamite are urged to contact Kyle Kulow at the Carbon County Sheriff's Office at 636-3251.
