Director plans to transport shelter animals to adoption event

Director Doreen McCourt checks out a stray puppy at the Carbon County Animal Shelter. As part of the facility's focus on placing all non-aggressive animals, McCourt plans to transport approximately 25 dogs to a statewide pet adoption event Sept. 16 in Salt Lake. The shelter accepts animals from local residents at no cost, but charges nominal cat and dog adoption fees. For additional information about the facility or adopting a pet, residents may contact the Carbon County Animal Shelter at 637-6654.
