Carbon County Recreation's fall brochure is now available and some program deadlines are just around the corner.

Youth programs like soccer, flag football, and tennis lessons are beginning soon in Carbon County.

The deadline to register children for CCR's soccer program is Tuesday, August 30 at 5 p.m. Soccer is an inexpensive program, just $16 per child or $28 with a jersey.

CCR is also running a beginner special for soccer. For this session only, the fee for kindergarten and first graders is only $10 if parents register by the deadline.

Flag football is a great way for local children to learn the basics and fundamentals of the gridiron sport. There is a league for third and fourth grade children.

Games will be scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays at Castle Heights Elementary. The fee is $25 which includes a team t-shirt. The registration deadline for flag football is also Tuesday, August 30.

Tennis lessons will begin September 7 and will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30 p.m.

The fee for tennis lessons is $10, but if participants have never taken lessons before, CCR is offering a first time special of just $5 per person for the entire session. That is less that $1 per lesson. Tennis is a sport for all ages and lessons are for both youth and adults.

Other programs this fall include adult co-ed volleyball, youth and adult three on three basketball, cardio health in Helper and youth wrestling.

Carbon Recreation is located at 90 North 100 East in room 145 in the Price Community Center.
