Remnants remain after catastrophic Highway 6 explosion

Traffic now flows freely around the bend where a large truck filled with explosives blew up in Red Narrows last week, but remnants of the disaster remain at the side of the road. Behind the jersey barriers where the tracks are located can be found burn marks, broken windshields that were dropped there by motorist who disposed of them after the blast and even small pieces of metal from the truck itself. The Utah Department of Transportation was able to get the road operating again within less than 48 hours after the incident, something many felt would take much longer.
