Saturday wrapped up the WBBA Little World Series with the winning of the championship game by Alpine.

While the other teams played in the consolation bracket of the Little World Series, the championship bracket teams were obvious after Rigby, Idaho, Rose Park, Alpine and Washington Terrace teams topped the other teams in wins during tournament play on Tuesday through Thursday.

On Friday, Rigby went up against Rose Park. Rigby won 2-1 in a close game against Rose Park and prepared for the championship game they would be playing on Saturday.

Alpine and Washington Terrace played against each other as well to decide who would move on to the championship title. Alpine and Washington Terrace struggled to gain the lead in the close scoring game. Alpine eventually took a one run lead against Washington Terrace and ended the game in the lead 10-9.

Alpine played a tough game against Rigby, Idaho for the first and second place-deciding game on Saturday. Home runs were in abundance during this close game as the Alpine team took the lead and the championship from Rigby with a 13-8 win. After the loss, Rigby was left in second place.

In consolation play, Carbon County's two local teams played their best.

Helper played Kearns on Friday and won 5-3 against them.

Carbon Blue also won on Friday against Morgan in a close scoring game. Carbon Blue finished the game with a 9-8 win against Morgan.

On Saturday, Helper went up against the South Cache team who had won the previous day as well. South Cache easily took the win after taking a 10 run lead against Helper. The game ended with a 12-2 win for South Cache.

Carbon Blue went up against Idaho Falls on Saturday. Carbon Blue looked good for the win after Idaho Falls Westside lost against Vernal Blue 7-4 the previous day. Even though Carbon Blue played hard, they couldn't complete enough runs to bring themselves into the lead against the Idaho Falls Westside team who ended the game with a win of 16-5.
