Donald Watson

HELPER - Donald E. Watson, age 73, passed away peacefully in his sleep July 21, 2005 in Salt Lake City after a short illness due to complications from a stroke.

He was born April 19, 1932 in Castle Gate, to Lawrence and Bernice Thomas Watson. His family later moved to Emery County where he spent his childhood. Married Louise Nougaret Jan. 27, 1952 and had nine children, they later divorced. He recently exchanged vows with his longtime sweetheart, Doreene Chavez.

Donald worked in many places doing a variety of jobs before he started his own welding company. He had the ability to fix anything and everything, was hard working, strong willed and had integrity. He was a man of his word, although he could tell some big whopper stories and great jokes.

He was a dedicated father, loved his family, cooked big Sunday meals, enjoyed playing cards and loved sports of all kinds, especially football. He enjoyed camping, hunting and spending time outdoors.

He was a fun-loving prankster who got a big kick out of teasing people with a smile and a joke for everyone he met. He loved to dance and sing, and there was laughter in the air when he was around. He was never in too big a hurry to stop and talk to make people laugh.
