Thomas Needs

PRICE - Thomas John Needs, age 59, passed away June 12, 2005, quietly in his sleep.

He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on Oct. 11, 1945.

Tom was greatly loved by all who knew him. He lived for many years in Salt Lake City and moved to Price in 1988, where he made his home for the past 17 years.

Tom worked happily and successfully as an engineer in both Ohio and Utah. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed many activities, including four-wheeling with the Carbon County King Krawlers. He enjoyed reading and writing poetry. He was also considered a great philosopher and wonderful father and grandfather by his family.

Tom is survived by four children, Thomas J. Needs Jr. (Annie), Christopher M. Needs, Heather N. Miller (Kevin), Adam J. Needs and four grandchildren. Also survived by sister, Susan Marconi (Edward) and brothers, Walter Needs and Michael Needs.

Memorial services were Friday, June 17, at Wasatch Lawn Memorial in Salt Lake City, (801) 466-8687.

Mary Dmitrich

PRICE - Mary Milovich Dmitrich, "Ma D," 89, beloved mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, was called home on June 15, 2005, at Castleview Hospital.

She was the first born of 14 children to Isaac "Iso" Milovich and Milica "Millie" Demich on March 25, 1916, in Winton, Wyo. Married Dan Dmitrich July 24, 1935, later divorced.

Mary retired from JCPenney where she left behind a community of friends and co-workers after 40 years of dedicated service.

Her reputation as an outstanding cook and pastry maker was well-known to her family and friends.

She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survived by son, Mike (Bo) Dmitrich, Price; grandchildren, Stephanie Dmitrich, Price; Tony (Sara) Dmitrich, Pleasant Grove; Dana Dmitrich, Murray; great-grandchildren, M.J. Gardner, Beux Dmitrich and Alex Dmitrich; brothers, Mike (Terresa) Milovich, Lux (Laurie) Milovich, Ted (Charlene) Milovich; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Nick, John, George, Steve, Pete and Sam; sisters, Helen, Sophie, Angie and Jelisavka.

Funeral service was Saturday, June 18, Mitchell Funeral Home, with The Very Rev. Father Athanasios Emmert officiating. Trisagion service was Friday evening, Mitchell Funeral Home. Interment, Price City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, PO Box 688, Price, UT 84501.

May her memory be eternal.

Jennifer Blair

PRICE/PROVO - Our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, 35, passed away June 17, 2005.

Jennifer was born Sept. 30, 1969, in Price, to David T. and Dianne Averett.

She is survived by husband of 11 years, Milo Quince, and her beautiful son, Riverton Brandon; father, David T. (Heidie) Averett of Orem; mother, Dianne Averett of Goshen; four sisters, Bonnie Averett, Salt Lake City; Tracey Speaker, Salt Lake City; Heidi Orton of Provo; Kelsie Averett of Orem; three brothers; Gilbert Montoya of Price; David Matthew (Gaylene) Averett of Orem; Austin Chance Averett of Orem; bestest friends Trina of Provo and Joanna Montaque of Goshen; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss her.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, June 22, 11:30 a.m., in the Cleveland LDS Cemetery. Friends may call at Fausett Mortuary in Price, 680 E. 100 South, from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to services.

Patricia Drushal

ORANGEVILLE - Patricia Ann Drushal, age 54, answered a call from Heavenly Father to return home on June 16, 2005, due to health problems.

She was born June 26, 1950, in Delta, to Arland and Nina Mecham Watts. Married Richard G. Drushal Nov. 18, 1972, in Las Vegas, Nev.

Resident of Orangeville for the past 28 years. Patricia enjoyed cooking and spending time with her kids, grandkids, family and friends. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Survived by husband, Richard G. Drushal, Orangeville; mother, Nina M. Palmer, Orangeville; children, Lesa A. (Travis) Byrge, Price; Lisa Thompson, Terri Baker, both of Nampa, Calif.; Dick (Leslie) Drushal Jr., Salt Lake City; William (Brookelle) Langi, Orangeville; Darren (Amy) Brown, Price; daughter-in-law, Katherine Poulsen, Provo; brothers, Tony Watts, Delta; Jeff Hansen, Las Vegas, Nev.; Kirk Watts, Fairview; Kevin Watts, Fountain Green; stepsister, Therasa (Elmo) Bowers, Nephi; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by son, Robert Todd Poulsen; father, Arland Watts; and stepfather, Frank Palmer.

Funeral service Friday, June 24, noon, Mitchell Funeral Home, 233 East Main Street. Family will be at Mitchell's Friday one hour prior to service. Interment, Orangeville Cemetery.

Estel Lemon

EAST CARBON - Our loving father, husband and grandfather, Estel Junior Lemon, returned to Heavenly Father Wednesday, June 15, 2005.

Born Oct. 3, 1919, in Crawford, Colo., to Verd and Dorthy Lemon.

Estel retired as a coal miner of 39 years in Colorado and Utah.

He was a devoted husband, dedicated father and grandfather, a great example and teacher for his children. He loved to visit with everyone, never spoke unkind words of anyone.

He loved nature, fishing and hunting, he had a great sense of humor.

He loved everyone unconditionally and was loved by all who knew him. He was the wind beneath our wings.

He leaves his wife, Joan, of 63 years of East Carbon; son, Jerry O.D. (Kathy) Lemon of East Carbon; and daughter, Judy (Dale) Andra of St. George; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 21, 11 a.m., at the East Carbon Ward LDS Chapel. Friends may call at the church Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to services. Burial, Cliffview Cemetery in Price.

Earel Belford

PRICE/URBANA, Ohio - Earel Mylroie Belford, 76, passed away June 14, 2005, in Urbana, Ohio.

Born Oct. 14, 1928, in Galva, Ill., the son of Frederick Earel and Kathryn Belford. Married Laura Gramling May 8, 1949. Together they raised five children. She died Oct. 19, 1998. Married Lillian C. Bene of Price Nov. 15, 2000, after meeting through the Internet.

"Mel" embraced his step-family as his own and united two families. Mel lived a full life. Graduated from the University of Illinois in chemical engineering, served in the U.S. Army, owned and operated Ultra Met-Manufacturing, taught chemistry, and substituted in Urbana area schools for over 25 years. He was a Rotarian for over 45 years, and served the United Methodist Church as an usher, greeter and Sunday school teacher. Mel volunteered for the Red Cross, 4-H, Republican Party and was a Junior Achievement advisor. He will be deeply missed by his adopted family.

Survived by spouse, Lillian; son, Dr. Earel M. Belford (Mary); daughters, Diana Caldwell (Tom); Chrissie Hamilton (Roger); Cynthia Belford; and Mary Belford (Elaine); stepchildren, Carol Carlson (Merrill); Alex John and Colin Robert Bene; seven grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren and 10 step-great-grandchildren.

Visitation and funeral will be in Urbana, Ohio with burial in Orangeburg, S.C.
