WELLINGTON - Max Gordon Jones, husband, father, grandfather, friend passed away June 13, 2005, at his home in Wellington due to health complications.
Born Dec. 8, 1947, in Fort Ord, Calif., the son of the late Betty Marie Blocker Jones and Frederick Maurice Jones. Married Janice Lott Aug. 27, 1966, later divorced. On April 4, 2004 he married his best friend, Becky Petty in Price.
Max served in the Special Forces of the Air Force in Vietnam, 1966-1969. He was a retired truck driver and carpenter. Max was also the former business owner of Becky's Brews in Price. Max enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He liked to fish, sing, do art work and ride his Harley.
Survived by spouse, Becky Jones, Wellington; children, Casey (Judy) Jones, Price; Audra Jones, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Chad (Connie) Jones, Huntington; James (Tami) Jones, Wellington; stepchildren, Angie (James) McDaniel, Gibbon, Minn.; George Stringfellow, Price; Katie Jo Stringfellow, Richfield; Jessica Stringfellow, Wellington; JoElla Stringfellow, Richfield; Lillian Rowley, Wellington; Shantel Uttley, Farmington, N.M.; Shailene Uttley, Ferron; brothers, Charles (Kaylynn) Jones, Helper; Robert (Deanna) Jones, Clatskanie, Ore.; John (Debbie) Jones, Helper; Terry Jones, Helper; dad, Frederick Maurice Jones, Helper; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by mother, Betty Marie Blocker Jones.
Funeral services will be Friday, June 17, 2 p.m., Fausett Mortuary, 680 E. 100 South, Price. Viewing will be one hour prior to services. Burial, Elmo Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to help with memorial expenses.
