Jean Laws will be celebrating her 80th birthday with her family on May 29.

Lola Jean Kartchner was born May 29, 1925 in Monticello, to Henry Z. and Nora Black Kartchner. She was the youngest of four children. She married E. Wayne Laws on Sept. 4, 1942 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He passed away on Sept. 16, 1992.

Her children and their spouses are Linden and Kathleen Laws of Spring Glen; Kaye and Lynn Manhart of Salt Lake and Grant and Janet Laws of Carbonville. She had nine grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
