Farmers beginning first cut in valley

Farmers in the Castle Valley area are beginning to make their first cut of alfalfa this year. The wet cycles with warm weather in between has helped the crops to grow. But even without more rain there will be enough irrigation water this year to bring in some good yields. However, should the wet weather continue, that could cause some problems in the area of drying out the hay for baling.
