As part of an art project which has lasted over two years, students at Peterson Elementary created a wall of art for all to see. Students in Julie Youso's art classes from last year and this school year, created a large mural on the cement walls surrounding the playground area at the East Carbon school. The artworks theme was ancient drawings which are often found on rocks and mountain sides which Native Americans drew long ago. The students, painted in bright colors which not only draws attention to the large mural, but also adds character. Brandon Larson and Markie McDonald add the finishing touches to the wall which was completed last week.
