Two classrooms in a pre-fabricated building at East Carbon High are closed after a fire on the night of Saturday, May 7. Initial reports indicate the flames started above the ceiling in an air conditioner unit. The classrooms were used by social studies teacher Ryan Hepworth and math teacher Vera Clark. A final report is expected to be issued by the state fire marshal on Friday outlining costs of damages.
