Local animal lover teaches children about owning pets

Carbon County's own Jennifer Lopez teaches children at Castle Heights Elementary about the seven essentials to having a healthy pet. Other than food and water, she tells children the lesser known essentials for being healthy and happy are love, grooming, immunizations, and shelter. She tries to give presentations at least once a week at local schools to help prevent animal neglect and abuse in the area.
