Family and friends will honor Ray "Pappy" Bright on the occasion of his 80th birthday at an open house April 16.

The birthday open house will be presented from 1 to 3 p.m. at Parkdale Care Center, located at 250 E. 600 North, Price.

Venice Elaine Burr Jensen, a lifetime resident of Emery, will be honored on her 90th birthday at a family dinner and open house April 16. The event will be presented from 1 to 4 p.m. at the senior citizen center in Emery. Born April 19, 1915, she married Dermus Jensen on Sept. 26, 1933. Her children and their spouses are LaWayne and Jens Jensen, Brent and Karen Jensen, Russell and Betty Jensen and Kenna and LaVar Park. She has 13 grandchildren (one deceased), and 27 great-grandchildren.
