Exercisers organize donation drive to local food pantry

Jackie Butkovich, Colleen Cook and Jane Howard organize food donated by members of Curves. Members of the local gym have been bringing bags of food in with them when they exercised for the past several weeks. Butkovich, coordinator of the Carbon County Food Bank, stopped by and collected over 100 bags for the center. According to Amber Pruitt, manager of Curves, each year they hold a food drive where members are encouraged to bring food for chances in company prizes and drawings. In addition, one week a year, membership is waived for a bag of food. This year, Curves donated 1,220 pounds to the food bank.
