Local Resident Finishes Seventh at NCAA Meet

Shea Timothy wrestles for the University of Central Oklahoma.

Carbon High graduate Shea Timothy recently competed in the 2005 NCAA Division II wrestling championships at the University of Nebraska-Omaha.

Timothy, a 2002 graduate of Carbon High School placed 7th in the 149 lb. division which earned him All-American status.

To get to the championship rounds Timothy had to place fourth or above during the midwest regionals in Kenosha, Wis. in late February. He placed second in his weight class in that tournament.

Timothy is presently a sophomore at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, Okla.

He is also a former state of Utah wrestling champion for his weight class.
