Substance abuse training takes place
Verne Larson, a training expert from the state, talks about developing effective substance abuse programs in communities across Utah during a one-day workshop attended by numerous people from the local area at East Carbon High on Tuesday. The training program consisted of a history of prevention in Utah, the results of prevention research that has been conducted, program planning, evaluation and ethics involved in dealing with prevention as well as how to utilize and work with the media when it comes to programs.
