The rising moon casts a shimmering light and creates contrasting shadows across the cliffs at the top of Cat Canyon. The warming days since late last month have led to a drying of the area where water puddles and ice have been all winter long. The water forecast looks good. But too warm of weather could bring the snowpack down too fast, causing flooding as well as a loss of water not under storage.
