Mining and Railroad Museum makes addition to model railroad collection

The new model train at the Western Mining and Railroad Museum in Helper speeds around the track. The new train began operating Feb. 12 on an elevated track above the existing model of Helper during the mining boom in the Carbon County area. The museum continues to operate on the facility's winter schedule and is currently open to visitors Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
