Brianna Welch accepts Price city's employee of the year award Wednesday.

Welch was nominated for the honor by fellow city employees. She was selected because of the numerous contributions she provides to her department and the city.

The award was made during the state of the city presentation by Mayor Joe Piccolo. Welch works with Price's parks and cemetery department, but also takes reservations for picnic spaces.

In making the award Piccolo told the audience that Welch volunteers on nearly every committee around and has helped extensively with parades.

"She's one of those people who's a go-getter and always has a bubbly personality,' said the mayor
