A park is being developed in and around the storm water detention basin located around 300 East and 1200 North in Price. The park will consist of a walking and bicycling trail, picnic tables, benches and bike racks.

Price City is requesting all area residents and businesses help name the park. The person or business that submits the name that wins and is approved by the Price City council will receive several prizes.

Submissions for the park naming contest need to be received by Feb. 1 to Nick Tatton, Price City community director. His offices are located in the second floor of city hall or they can be mailed to P. O. Box 893 in Price. The city council will be asked to formally approve the selected name during the regular council meeting Feb. 9.

Each respondent should submit a one page letter indicating a name for the park, a short reason for the name and their name and contact information.

Through the Price City economic vitality loan fun businesses in Price can receive half off on all interest and loan closing costs for any loan applied for during February, March or April of 2005, according to Tatton.

"Price City is proud to encourage business and commercial development within Price City," says Tatton.

Business start-up and expansion loans are available in amounts up to $10,000 with easy terms and conditions. He also reports that all loans are subject to standard loan approval processes.

For more information and details Tatton can be contacted at 636-3184 at Price City.
