Construction begins on Sunnyside Junction bridge

A trackhoe works at the site of the Sunnyside Junction Bridge in eastern Carbon County. The bridge was not widened when Highway 6 was made into four lanes a couple of years ago, because the money for rebuilding bridges and highway construction comes from separate funds. The Utah Department of Transportation has now acquired the funds for the widening of the bridge and construction has begun at the site. The project is expected to be completed late in the spring or sometime in the summer.
