Girls team cancels game

The Carbon High girls team was supposed to play 5A Cottonwood High Schools team last Wednesday in Salt Lake the but game was cancelled due to transportation problems.

"The roads going up there were very bad and we decided it wasn't worth it to take the chance," said Carbon coach Bruce Bean. "We haven't rescehduled yet but I think we will."

That means Carbon's 8-1 girls team will play their next game against Union on Tuesday in Roosevelt and then return home to play Central High School of Grand Junction, Colo. on Friday night at 5:30 p.m.
